Why it exists

A listed company answers the same BRSR questions every year, with the numbers spread across a dozen people and spreadsheets and turned into XBRL the week before the deadline. That works until someone asks where a figure came from, or who changed it after the assessor saw it. With BRSR Core now subject to independent assessment or assurance, the spreadsheet is no longer enough.

What TRAAN does

TRAAN collects every disclosure once, has a person review it, and reuses it for the regulator, the assessor and the investor. Every value sits against a company, a year, a section and a field, with the person who last changed it. TRAAN runs as an independent ESG label.

Collect

Sections assigned, progress measured

The company admin opens a financial year and assigns BRSR sections to colleagues with view, edit or admin rights and a due date. Completion is tracked field by field.

  • Sections A, B and C
  • Per-section permissions and due dates
  • Guided tour for each role

Extract

Machines propose, people dispose

Upload the annual report, policies and last year’s XBRL. AI extracts candidate values and holds them as pending fields; nothing reaches the record until the admin accepts it, with their name on it.

Report

From one record to every format

Reports and XBRL are generated from versioned templates, with BRSR alongside CDP, GRI, TCFD and ISSB. Investors see KPIs and alerts only for companies that have consented.

Contributors add the annual report, policies and last year’s XBRL.

Step 03 of 06

Review

The admin accepts or rejects each extracted value.

Contributors fill their sections; emissions are calculated by scope.

Step 05 of 06

Assess

The assessor reviews data health and sends queries back.

Step 06 of 06

File

The report and XBRL are generated and BRSR Core goes for assessment or assurance.

Capabilities

Everything in the box

Who it serves:

  • Listed companies

Company secretarial and sustainability teams who own the year.

Colleagues who fill their assigned sections.

  • Assessors

    Review and score the record.

  • Investors

Follow the companies that have consented.

One record per year

Every BRSR value held once by section and field; reports and exports are generated from it, never re-typed.

AI extracts and maps; nothing reaches the record until a person accepts it.

GHG calculator

Scope 1, 2 and 3 totals that open to the activity data and factors behind them.

Filing-ready XBRL

Versioned reports and XBRL built from the year's record.

Section permissions

Contributors see and edit only the sections assigned to them.

Investor portal

Consenting investors see KPIs and alerts without spreadsheets by email.

Principles

How it keeps its integrity

  • The year is the unit, so last year is never overwritten.
  • Machines propose, people dispose.
  • Permissions follow sections.
  • Templates are versioned.
  • Consent both ways.

Clear scope

What it isn’t

Not an assurance provider
It prepares the evidence; independent assurance signs the opinion.
Not a filing gateway
It builds the XBRL; submission stays with the company.

Built on

What TRAAN stands on

The platform underneath, and what the work depends on outside it.

The platform

  • One platform core

The same evidence architecture the rest of the suite runs on: identity, roles, attribution and the audit trail are not rebuilt per product.

  • The year is the unit

Each reporting year is its own record, so last year is never overwritten by this one.

  • Permissions follow sections

Contributors see and edit only the sections assigned to them.

  • Versioned templates

A company adopts a template version and is told when a newer one exists.

What it reports to

  • BRSR Core
  • ISSB
  • GRI
  • CDP
